The story itself is okay. The dynamic between MC and ML was interesting enough that I kept reading, and I did tear up near what I would consider the climax. Beyond that, the arcs of the book do not transition smoothly, jumping from one location to the next quite quickly. I would say this is an okay read to pass the time, but I will probably forget about it by next week.
