Spoilers!Spoilers!Maou Gakuin No Futekigousha or otherwise known as Misfit of Demon King Academy, is a fun, comedic and ridiculous parody of the bland repetitive OP light novel protagonist that we usually see. Not only is the main character, Anos Voldigoad one of the most coolest character I have ever read about, his lines and dialogues are borderline insane in nature. For example the classic, Spoiler
“Do you think killing me would make me die? Or even, “Do you think just because you dodged my attack you can avoid it?
[collapse]Yeah, he is illogical that way. And I love every single bit of it. This guy gives Shirou Emiya a run for his money. Just seeing him cut down every enemies in his way make it all the worth while to read. And while some of the other characters remain slightly undeveloped, my main focus is on the MC. If a story have a horrible plot, but a great MC to carry the book, then it’s all worth it. Unlike other people, I love his personality, which some might think of as annoying or narcissistic. We can also look at Anos’s friend Sasha and Misha who aren’t archetypical character that can be described using tsundere or yandere, but are actually 3 dimensional character that have feelings. And I would like to talk about Ray, who Spoilerconcocted a Zero Requiem in order to quell the hatred of Jetta. His bromance with Anos was awesome.
[collapse]On this, I would give it a 5/5.However, the plot isn’t that bad by itself, it have plenty of twist and turn along the way, like Avos’s identity or Ray’s reincarnation. On this category, I would rate it a 3/5. Just average in nature. The world have a lot of interesting lore and information around it as well. Like, how Misha use her magic as a hobby, constructing sceneries and landscape, or how lovers have two shell necklace to give to each other. Or some important cosmology term like a Source which is pretty relevant in the story, or different types of terms for different spells because obviously the knowledge between nation would change if separated for more than a thousand year right? 3/5 as well for worldbuilding. In conclusion, if you’re the type of person that loves ridiculous plot line in which you don’t have to try and think too hard, read this. The MC will make you laugh to exhaustion, or at least, that’s what he did to me.
