Comeback of the Abandoned Wife Chapter -- Discussion

So the story is decent, but the current translation (needs an editor/grammar pass) sometimes makes the situation read more comical than serious. Later on there is comedy in the story, of how the ML loves the MC's chubby body, but Chapter 1 was supposed to read like a dark tragedy.... The torture scenes and the onomatopoeia of "Whoo... " ? Luckily, I can listen to the story in Chinese audio.
