I agree with MeatEatingPriest's review. A standard mix of martial arts cultivation as well as qi cultivation with a mix of a cheat-ability that allows the main character to identify objects. I really enjoyed the first 150 chapters, but I am impressed at how this is the first novel to make me notice that the writing is a little shoddy. My main issue with this novel is the fact that every single antagonist has to have a chapter or two explaining how they are evil, and despite the protagonist being able to already kill them, it gets dragged on for longer using the antagonist's point of view.Spoiler
For example, around chapter 200+ is when they start getting into fighting more often. Among the minor side characters that MC has killed were a r*pist, someone who committed human sacrifice, and even more and more r*pists and mu*deres who basically have a one paragraph backstory about why they did it
[collapse]Not only that, but the writer (later on in the book) in my opinion drag on situations way too long. Like although the MC has already demonstrated his power of being able to basically mu*der people really easily in groups or even if they are a stage above them, they have to take this long detour and spend ten chapters resolving a situation with weak enemies. Also his appraising cheat and even his little spirit beast companion don't get much use later on which kind of make them feel irrelevantGood for passing the time, might read it later if it gets more chapters but I probably won't be paying for it.
