Before the review sorry for my English (not my first language).The foundation of the novel is full of potential but doesn't fully exploit what it can do. I'm quite a grumpy reader and this novel made me so annoyed with many details and plot. THIS IS NOT A BAD NOVEL, I JUST DON'T LIKE IT BC I EXPECT TOO MUCH. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:
- Interesting idea besides all the regression novels we've been seeing. MC doesn't know everything and events.
- The story pace is very good, not too slow, not too fast, relaxing moments still appear quite frequently.
- MC is not OP, he is still one of the strongest of his age but many people around him can snap him like a mosquito.
- Power level is not clear. We can't really see how strong the characters are. Most of the time u will see how who is stronger by whether they saw an enemy attack or not. Destruction level is barely mentioned.
- Fights are not clear and EXPEDITIOUS. 90% of the fight will end in 1/3 of the chapter and will not be described well. If you see sword fighting in real life it would be quite fast, and it is not bad when put into a novel, but the author really doesn't know how to describe swordsmanship. The character can slash 20-30 hits with ease in the blink of a second, and we do not know how they do it, or how strong the hit is, everything just happens.
- Relationship is ok but the author tries to hint at a lot of things just for fun, the MC made a lot of girls blush and nothing happened, I don't like harem but this is just annoying af.
- People live and die don't really make any sense. Many times someone could die but still be alive, and vice versa. Normally any character dies to mean something to the MC's journey, but here people just die and mean nothing, and most of them die while don't really have a proper relationship with MC. They die just bc the author wants them to die, and he doesn't have to care about their story anymore.

In the sword festival people can die while they can be saved. They say it is a sacred festival and say people die bc they are too arrogant while doing challenges while just the academe have tool to save you from fatal injuries but the biggest festival of the continent doesn't.
