I didn’t expect this to hook me the way it did?

MC is OP as expected but also kinda refreshing? Like he’s not s*upid, but he is kinda.... bullheaded? Crazy? You can tell he’s used to solving most of this problems by just throwing himself at them and figuring it out along the way and it’s pretty funny.

the dynamic between the MC and ML is probably what ended up hooking me more than anything else. It’s a bit of a slow burn yeah, but that’s probably part of why I got so captivated with how they interact with each other. They’re so sweet and funny, and their back and forths are so interesting to read.

I’m also, surprised with how much I like their romance? it’s mixed with a combo of the classic trope of

”this kid I rescued years ago has a crush on me!” where the MC feels conflict about it (because obviously as a then-20 year old why would you be hold any romantic interests in a kid?) and also the MC being, slow, I guess? 😂 he clearly has non-old-brother-like feelings for the ML but he has trouble reconciling the fact that they’re the same person. Plus he has had a pretty crazy year or so dumped on him so I guess he gets a pass but like oh my gosh HAHA

im absolutely dying at the culmination of the MC’s building feelings and conflict about this and feeling so flustered at the moment from something the ML did for him that he suddenly runs away. Like straight up running away in the middle of a conversation with the ML. It’s genuinely just too funny for words I literally can’t
