Not a harem but that's not the reason I'm writing a below average reviewSo I want to start by pointing out this novel had a harem vibe for about 50 chapters and early in the series. It looks like the author intended to go that route and then backtracked. The first girl the novel introduces his age, Fabienne, is the one he chose and stuck with. Early in the novel he was being aggressively pursued by one of the princesses and another noble girl Caro. The princess is used in a political marriage with a foreign country and disappears entirely from the story and Caro hooks up with a friend he made later in the story. There's no reference of polygamy in the series at all. It's not something that seems to be practiced in that world and the MC never entertains the thought. But that's not the reason for the low rating. It is because to be honest I was distracted by the "Action" and "Adventure" tags on this series thinking even if there are slice of life elements it wouldn't be too slow. I was very mistaken. This story is 0.1% action and 0.01% adventure and slice of life is the other 98%.Even the romance is slice of life. The relationship build up with his fiancee is so slow that hundreds of chapters into their engagement the most you see are still "hold hand and blush" scenes. Also, someone added the "death of a loved one" tag but that is also mistaken. Neither the main character or the author loved his grandmother or grandfather. The author and the MC's only relationship with the woman is that she serves as a plot device for his inheritance. In his case he inherits an excuse that he uses to try and poorly blame his otherworld cheat on the grandmother."I inherited a book from my grandmother that only I'm allowed to read because potion makers are incredibly secretive and it has all of these game cheats in it that for some reason the old woman never utilized in the slightest even though they would have saved her and her husbands life"
