So far so good. This is definitely a josei. The characters are very much flawed, and that's what makes them endearing and more human.I like how living a lifetime allows them to understand facts but also makes them form beliefs that limits their personal sight of their 'present' situation. The plot is not dragged at all. It is just right. The focus of the narrative is on the internal struggles of the characters. Although it is also largely driven by external struggles.I like how there isn't white or black, good or evil sort of protagonist vs antagonist thing. The characters just have different beliefs, conflicting interests and complicated relationship with each other.I am preparing my heart for future heartaches because mature novels tend to break your heart with harsh realities. I'm just hanging on hope that this isn't tragedy because it's not in the tags.I love the MC, she is very strong. But her strength also depends on her thorns. And that is her flaw. Which is so realistic because of what she's been through. The ML is also very strong. I thought he would be scummy but he is a sweatheart in his own way.Anyway, some of you will question the characters decisions in their lovelife but this is because of their beliefs or misconceptions.I like the layers of everything. If Your Throne is my favorite manhua, this is my favorite novel.
