This is a really refreshing story, especially after reading so many books with the same/similar start (FL being carried away as a baby and a white lotus bit*h replacing her).The ML is kind of flawed which I liked. He is not the typical iceberg aloof type. Him being a jerk is due to his family and what he has been through. And although the fact that while the FL is helping him win so much glory and he is only causing trouble is true, most of the times I've seen him cause trouble is because someone is insulting the FL (take that part where he framed the white lotus as an example). Which I see as him caring about her. Also, the fact that the FL doesn't show her abilities to the public means that she likes to be humble and low-key (I mean she could just show her abilities if she wanted to).Another thing that made me like this book is that FL's mother is not as bad as other novels' mother. In the last few chapters I've read, I can see that she does care about the FL is just that they are unfamiliar with each other (if you suddenly find out you have a child you haven't met for more than a decade, I'm sure you won't be like "Welcome my dear! Come give mommy a hug and a kiss." even more so if you have a child that replaced her for so long). Like when the mom knew that the FL suffered in the village she cried, the mother of other FLs be like "she deserved it".I haven't started on the romance part yet. If I remember I'll come back and edit this.
