First, I like this story. It's sweet and cute and mostly fluff, though there is definitely angst. Most of the angst is between side charactersSpoiler

Mostly Yan Sui's family... wow are they angst and convoluted impersonated at times... but also can't forget Su something that feels like it's his right to be married to Yan Sui because he was last life

[collapse] and not the main couple though they do tend to be involved somehow.

I love that the main characters communicate with each other. MC hears a rumor that makes him nervous? He calls ML and immediately clarifies it with him. There are a few misunderstandings, but it's nothing major and always resolved quickly, and I love that.

Also major points for Spoiler

Yan Sui realizing that love alone will not solve all of Meng Ting's psychological issues and from the beginning start planning to have him see someone when he's more settled, since a lot of changes at once might be too much.

Also Meng Qi, Spoiler

Where do you get off being upset that Meng Ting doesn't like you? Besides the fact that he doesn't like any of the Meng family, your literal first reaction to meeting him was to flirt! Despite that you're at least partially blood related!

[collapse]

I don't think it's ever said straight out, but Meng Ting is definitely neurodivergent, and as another reviewer commented, probably autistic. Which I think is actually really cool, seeing the main character of a romance story being autistic and the ML being completely willing to be patient and work with him on things.

Also, Furball and Rhubarb~ It's rare (in novels I've read) for the main couple to adopt pets and have the pets come up constantly in the story because they're part of the family. That part is awesome too.
