This novel explores a different way of coping because of trauma. Meng Ting learns in an extremely slow pace and that’s okay! The author could’ve easily let the MC reborn as a more powerful and vengeful version of his past self but then this would be like any other rebirth story.Meng Ting’s point-of-view is interesting. The way he rationalized certain situations is definitely unique. Even if the ML in this novel is the typical brooding male god and can solve MC’s problems in a snap, the internal struggle of Meng Ting was something I looked forward to reading because it certainly feels like I’m unravelling his identity with him.Do give this novel a chance. Don’t read this if you’re looking for good values and morality, BL doesn’t do that well.
