Tldr: Spoiler
novel is bland, boring and repetitive, MC is bland, annoying and I think might be closet gay
[collapse]As of this chapter, I'm as done with this novel as the MC is with... well, everything. After Spoilerhe leaves the trade city
[collapse] the novel becomes a routine of s*upid cliche of an alternation between "people got into trouble, MC resolves trouble" and "people want trouble with MC, MC resolves troublemakers". And that's all. Just different flavors of either of those 2 kinds of events. Although, in retrospect, it was like this since the short "home village" arc, it's just that it wasn't noticeable back then. And so, with the aforementioned problem, the novel in itself is bland, boring at best and mildly annoying at worst. Now, there is also a previous review mentioning, in a joking manner, the shortness of chapter length. Oh, believe me, that was not a figure of speech. They are that short. As a final complaint, well, the MC is annoying. You are lead to believe he lived for almost, if not over, 40 years both lives, and yet acts and thinks like a damn brat. It would not be a problem normally, since he's like 15yo in this world. But he refuses to acknowledge his curent life as his... well, current life, still stuck in his previous one. Refuses to acknowledge the world around him as truly "real", as his new world, always comparing it to a game, but yet still acts like a goody 2 shoes, while of course complaining about missing his previous one. Also, this is hilarious with how cringe and bad it is : even now we're not told his name. Yes, we knew his Japanese name since it got mentioned like 2 times, but not his current one. Which is either some failed attempt from the author to make him seem more.... well, epic? And interesting? Since he op af? Or to make it easier for readers to portray themselves onto him, and since I'm not the kind of guy who does that, it only makes it worse. And I dont even get how it would even appeal to others in case of the latter, since the MC is as I previously mentioned, thus I don't even find him a good target.Oh, one last thing, the MC refuses women with such intensity, and thinks about rejecting them so often (for the sake of keeping this pg friendly I guess) to the point it makes you think he's gay or the author either never touched a woman or has a fear of women.
