not much happens plot wise. It has a very similar feel to Transmigration: The Peasant Makeup Artist. Only this one focuses on medicine.Both have very smart main characters and their partner is a gentle loving man who is very devoted. Shiyi, our fl, is selfish compared to the makeup artist one. Which is not a bad thing! What it lacks in plot makes up for it with character development.And I love that. Shiyi's selfishness makes sense. Her reluctanctance to help others without any gain is because of her past. She lived in a world where kindness can get you killed which explains why she focused more on serving herself. Which helped the ML a lot in not being taken advantaged of by other people. While Shiyi grew some empathy with her love for the ml.While I don't think I'll read this again, I had fun.
