First three quarters are fine, great even! Its interesting! Spoiler

MC having to play as a non existent lover is cool! The different scenes of mermaid and werewolves? Felt a bit off but okay! Its more entertainment feeling too and personally wish there was more cub raising but thats just me ah. The whole backstory thing was also nice, interesting, unexpected!

BUT. The ending.. Its got like really crap climax, the 'villain' is so. S*upid. Barely got expanded on. It got resolved super easily and the problem the MC was mulling over got resolved so fast and so anticlimactically. At the end there was an attempt at the Spoiler

lover is off to war and MC is worried he's goona die! But you know he's coming back. Don't even pretend.

The side stories feel like aus and at this point in reading I stopped haha too bored

Some other gripes I have Spoiler

the parents. There was so much buildup to them, but meeting the parents was soo boring I wish they stayed dead lmao. And at some point the entertainment part felt like a background (understandable) but MCs got scandals with two timing and stuff.. Doesn't feel urgent.

Some super minor complaints being one scene of torture but there was no sound so ofc the tongue was cut so he can't make a sound. I really don't think thats how it works.

Also theres like 2 women in this novel, one was the mother and the other was some background character in the side story.

So TLDR 3/5, first part is worth reading imo, the end is predictable and boring.
