Dropping at chapter 42. This novel is a great example of a great idea executed extremely poorly. If I reated it now it would be 2 stars, 1 for the translator s effort and 1 for the idea. The MC is dumb, makes s*upid decisions, lies for no reasons, and shallow.ML is fine, I guess. He is also kind of dense, but in a more cute way? Like his brain circuits do not match MCs causing some mildly interesting misunderstandings.Their romance is.... non existent. Just MC lying about everything and ML just believing. It's a weird dynamic. MC just takes all the help ML gives, will say he loves ML, even starting to think so on reality, but he still so resistant and flees at everything little action. The writing is just bad. The author will start on something, then just bam it's over and he is back home or done. There were a couple of times I thought for sure whole vcinks of text were missing. Everything is so anticlimactic. He is a Gary Stu without any build up at all.The variety show parts not only lacked any sort of depth, but also were really random. The poor one was probably the s*upidest variety show idea I've ever heard. The singing contest was 1 and done. The esport one was like 2 paragraphs. The first 3 variety shows have an absolute shallow clown of a villain that gets faced slapped without much effort. It's like the author wanted multiple genres in one, but couldn't execute it correctly. There is interstellar, love game, entertainment, AI, multiple non human lovers (same ML), mystery, cub raising, face slapping, and cooking. All I can think of is this is the author's first work or one of their first works. If not, then they have to be really young, the writing is just too juvenile. Such a great idea just wasted. Will not be giving this novel another chance unless by some miracle the author revises it.
