The Villainous Princess Saves The Doomed Knights Chapter Completed Discussion

  • #1
3.75, rounded up to 4. I did enjoy it well enough to continue reading and to purchase the last set of chapters.

  • 60% friendship and reputation improvement
    • I really enjoyed reading how the FL got closer to the knights, and helped Erna with her dream of studying medicine.
    • The knights cheering on their romance is cute
    • More FL focused, the ML is not an accessory (he is a total green flag!) but the story is very FL-driven
  • 30% plot (both crammed and drawn out in the last 30-40 chapters)
    • it's nice that there's more than 1 villain
  • 10% romance (more on that in the spoiler, I don't want to spoil what little there is)
It seems to be the recent trend to have the villainess FL repaying power trip with power trip, it's fun and funny though.

There's a few parts in the beginning that made me raise my eyebrows, but they're minor.

  • The price of one building in gangnam is definitely not enough to be the military budget, ESPECIALLY when the country is constant on guard or have to fight against monsters
  • Is there really a point to have the FL isekai... it would've been more interesting if the FL just learned of the future or something because of her

Now, about the romance...

Spoiler

There is really very little romance.

Cassia and Giscard spent the first 1/4 of the story going "I don't trust you" and "I'm serious, I'm here to help, not because I like you!"

They spend the next 1/4 going "I just see him/her as a valuable member of the knight order".

The following 1/4 is getting jealous/bothered by 2ML and Erna, very slight and not annoying since it's mixed with the plot.

The last 1/4 is just an afterthought, frankly. Their one and only kiss is done as CPR. The last two or three chapters (the aftermath of the climax) is super rushed)

It will be nice if there are side stories so that we get more romance, but from the author's goodbye comment, it doesn't seem likely. Still, it's a nice novel, I'll recommend it!
