At first it was amusing, I just had to skip the exaggerated descriptions about the protagonist, but the author gets lost explaining the plots of the films that bring nothing, instead of focusing on the characters. There is much to develop on both the MC and ML side, the depression part is not bad but is left aside to write paragraphs and paragraphs about the beauty of the MC. Also, the ML would need much more depth to look like a 27-year-old man and not a 17-year-old teenager.

The ML is not a bad character or a bad person but the actions he has make him look like an irresponsible child, so some readers will not see him as a suitable couple or that he needs a redemption arc, when we can really say that he spends half a book redeeming himself but, again, their acts look more childish than tender or affectionate.
