this novel zooms through the school arc very quickly and moves on without a lot of extra filler (no entire chapters devoted to other peoples reactions or 20-50-100 chapter descriptions of long, drawn out fights and no 100 chapter tournaments). The MC in the novel is calm and collected and very thoughtful, and he acts his mental age.

I'm not a fan of harems but so far he's still in the process of meeting people so it hasn't been intolerable. I don't know if that changes later or not, we'll see (i expect my rating will drop if it's too annoying).

also, don't read this expecting this to be like the manhua, which has moments of slapstick out of nowhere and a definite shounen feel, as well as adding screen time for one character who follows him everywhere. This isn't a comedy, and the chick doesn't follow him in the book so if you're reading this for her, you'll only end up disappointed.

I'm enjoying it for what it is and my rating is 3.5 at the moment.
