The writer has some good ideas and the world building isn't bad, but the MC is very boring and none of the other characters ever accomplish anything apart from stalling for time. The author has no idea what to do with his secondary characters and frequently just drops them in favor of a new character, but by the end very few have had properly developed and resolved character arcs. For example, there was a long side plot about a golem core a d how to turn it into a golem, but the resulting character never actually does anything noteworthy even though they should have been incredibly impactful.As for Frey/Lukas himself, the story mainly just praises him as like coolest greatest guy ever but he never emotes and comes across as a moody hermit with anger issues. When the second season came around, after about thirty chapters or something the story was like "The long years have worn down emotions, that's why he's so different now." Bro, he's the same as always except that he talks a bit less.
