The first "season" is fantasy reincarnation while the second is gods + dimensional fusion. The protagonist is overly stoic and too detached from the world for me. There is ironically more humanity/relationship in what I've read of the second season which deals more directly with godhood.Yet, it all just feels like being strung along / getting your chain jerked. I was already disappointed enough with the conclusion of the first season and although there are some very likable characters in the second season, I do not have great hope for their futures.I will say the first 3/4 of the first season were extremely solid and although I thought it was rushed from there, I am glad I read it. I'm somehow more interested in the setting of the second season if it didn't have the characters carrying over from the first that it does, but I'm cutting my losses here and dropping it.
