I just caught up to chapter 26 and the political intrigue is really good! I like the relationship between the emperor and the empress so far. The emperor does fall into the trope of falling for her first but the romance is going about a good enough pace, a decent slow burn. The FL (empress) is pretty smart but also isn't all-knowing like other typical female leads, she works with what she has and is good with thinking on the spot. Also her shitty family can go die in a ditch. I really like this story and can't wait for the update!
