This series gives me mixed feelings. I came to read about a character with blindness, but it was all a ploy. I stayed for the horror stories, but none of those are suspenseful or terrifying. The blindness only lasts for the first arc. Like scriptor, another reviewer, said, the MC's response to suddenly being able to see when having been blind for his entire life doesn't make a lick of sense. Instead, it's used as an excuse to give him OP senses and make him even more of a Gary Stu than he already was. Although the MC has never ever seen anything in his life before, he can immediately tell colors apart, read, interpret forms to identify things, and have fully-functional perspective perception. There are people who have had devices placed to give them sight or return sight to them, and there are stories about how horrifying people looked to them once they could see for the first time. There are also stories about how they have a terrible time judging depth perception. This information is not difficult to find. The story does not stick with its own setting and instead immediately treats the MC as someone who only recently and temporarily lost his eyesight. Oh, and, by the way, he can see better than normal people--he can see farther away than them and see better in the dark than them. The MC is a Gary Stu--he's kind, intelligent, lucky, and extremely attractive looking. The first time he works with his team, they all come to depend on him, even though he's the least experienced member of their entire group. Even though the ML has never been to school before, he knows everything about going to college and high school and blends in well. It just doesn't make sense. The ML is OP and calm. The bonus points for the MC and ML is that they have more distinctive personalities than most Chinese BL series out there.Although there are a number of errors in the translation and writing, it's readable. There are also a lot of logical inconsistencies that the author apparently never did any research into or didn't bother with. The arcs are nice but not suspenseful or horrifying. They're just more like gentle ghost stories most of the time.In short, this series is somewhat entertaining but not impactful. It's nice for spending time but doesn't leave a lasting impression.
