This is a pretty decent and refreshing take of the 'reborn as a third rate villain' genre, because as of chapter 139, most people still hate him. I've read at least 50 of these novels with the same premise. And at least in 95% of them, the MC will be OP, have a harem, and have gotten rid of the villain title before chapter 20.Of course this novel isn't without some pretty big flaws; our villain MC has absolutely no agency. Instead of MC seeking power, almost everything that happens in this novel is because "if you don't do this or that, then you'll be expelled". Which gets pretty tiring, because a lot of problems that occur are out of his control (ex, a villain randomly targets MC, screws up, swears revenge). It doesn't help that every time MC solves 1 problem, 3 more pop up.
