- Many cat and mouse chases between detective ML and phantom thief FL
- FL having to hide her identity during her marriage
- ML and FL going into the marriage fully knowing FL is phantom thief (thanks, judicial deal)
- ML is the one with a more complex past and hidden identity
- A lot of cute banter and bickering (even after they confirm their love for each other)
- Very very hilarious, even campy in the 2nd half
- No filler arcs, every arc is somewhat all linked to the overarching plot and climax!
Curiosity got the better of me, and I asked something that had been on my mind for a while.
“Raven.”
“Yes?”
“If the me now and the me from the past were two different people, and they both confessed their feelings for you, who would you choose?”
Raven’s brows furrowed, making him look as sour as the lemons he was squeezing.
“This is the most pointless question I’ve ever heard in my life.”
Then he turned the question back on me.
“What about you?”
“I asked first.”
Raven leaned in and whispered in my ear,
“My answer is... Strawberry Head can date the Mad Dog of Hell, and the Inspector Raven Hunt can date Thief Crow.”
A wise answer to a foolish question.
It might seem as meaningless as my question, but if you think about it, it’s actually quite profound.
The 20-year-old me with the 20-year-old Raven, and the 30-year-old me with the 30-year-old Raven.
The love we had in our twenties was different from the love we have now in our thirties.
Back then, it was certainly love, but it felt reckless and blinding, like a precarious first love.
Now, our love has deep roots and is strong, unshaken by any storm.
We separated and found our own places, becoming independent adults, and then reunited.
Perhaps that’s why we could love each other for a long time.
[collapse]Now I need to add five cats and a lemon tree to my dream of a happy family...
