I came into this novel with not the highest expectations because I expected it to be like any other novel I would drop soon. But WOW it’s been so long since I’ve been consistently interested in a novel. Usually in most novels I’ve read, I get interested in the beginning but I get bored overtime. So this was a very pleasant surprise.I liked the side characters and I was surprised how involved they were in the plot. (Unlike in other novels where side characters are just used to praise the MC) I also really like the MC. He’s smart, coolheaded, but not an insane killing machine off the bat. Of course he’s a kid... not a normal one though.I’m also surprised at how smart the enemies are?? Wow they use their brains to make plans. Shocker.What I also liked was... the comedy. I actually laughed at a joke in a novel more than an actual novel meant for comedy. There was another review who said the comedy was bad and flat. But I guess different sense of humor? I loved it. Especially in the examples they put down.Bonus for me, No romance! Not a fan of romance unless it’s the focus.It’s an amazing novel and I hope it stays that way. I’ll be waiting for future updates!
