I don't really care about the fantasy settings of the story. I've been mainly skipping the plot heavy parts BUT I still love it because of the incredible romantic tension between Leo and Hugo. I've never before read a story with such a powerful romantic tension between the characters. Usually it's more s*xual tension and you can't help thinking "oh they want to explore each other's bodies so bad, " but here it's more like "they want to tenderly gaze into each other's eyes for eternity." They're sugary sweet and I'm sugar addict.
