I really enjoyed the tone and relationship development in this one. I will say the focus of this novel is really just the first half year of high school they spend together and has a nostalgic feeling to it of high school kid's enjoying their youth. It was very cute, but not the scope I expected was the resolution/ending feels a little rushed. The twists in this one reminded me of Spoiler
Cozy Obsession. The protagonist thinks they have entered a book, but have actually entered a restarted timeline in their original universe
[collapse]There was a lot of Xie dog blood in the last couple chapters and one character is introduced who is not relevant to the main plot, other than she is kinda the scandal that broke the camels back in terms of getting the og Xie heir sent abroad and represents the main threat Xie Sui will have to deal with in Xie family after coming back Spoileras he already got his father's wife booted out
[collapse]. Anyways she is dealt with quickly, to the point where why even bother, but her misdeeds that are brought to light are kinda triggering though within the scope of the SA/ attempted SA that occurs in the 'novel', but it was an unpleasant surprise for me bc the tone of the novel is generally light and non-explicit.
