I won't say the story is bad, but it's definitely not my cup of tea. Nor do I understand the purpose of making such a story.

The synopsis says he's sure the daughter of the inn keeper is his. Then by chapter four, the son of the weapon shop is also his... I stopped at this point. Is every child in the town his?

Even worse (for me) is that they weren't unmarried when he slept with them. They were affairs (maybe one off, but still).

I thought it might be a story of knowing he has a kid and watching over of her or something "bittersweet"... but nope.

I think this story is just an ego fantasy trip (of the immoral kind) for the writer.
