Disregarding the short description, I find this novel extremely intriguing.

One day, the MC wakes up in the middle of a bloody forest. Well, not really waking up, but his consciousness as a human returns to him. He finds that, once he regained consciousness, he was eating a Hero.

The first few chapters are filled with quite a bit of information dumping, but to summarize; 100 years have passed ever since he was last 'human'. Within those 100 years, he was in the form of a powerful spider monster that conquered the forest and killed monsters and humans alike due to a skill called 'Arachnephobia' (which is strange, because Arachnophobia means extreme or irrational fear of spiders. But anyway, because of this spider monster he became that made the forest his own hunting grounds, a squad (I think it was the Royal Knights, it hasn't been revealed yet,) including the Hero he was eating earlier on was dispatched to take down the 'spider monster'. And of course, you know how that came to end.

The MC's past is a bit blurry. We don't know all details of it yet, but some parts are occasionally revealed in chapters. The MC is a reincarnator. Born with the skill <Otherworldly Soul>, (Description: A soul of inertia that appears in this world once in a century. In response to the call of the god beyond the light, the souls of the other realm descend to Earth with their respective missions.) the MC died in an accident in his past life as a middle school student. And in this new world full of adventure, fantasy and magic, he was deemed a genius in his early years of life. It it as any reincarnation story goes, but what's different here is the turning-into-a-spider-monster-and-falling-asleep-for-100-years-but-waking-up-to-having-found-out-that-I-killed-countless-humans-....-and-a-hero!!!! -mumbo jumbo.

However, that is not the only selling point in the early chapters. The MC is definitely a glutton. As a spider monster, he's been eating human flesh and raw monsters for 100 years. When he wakes up as a human again, he covered his face with a helmet in fear of his own face and people recognizing him, but when he finally reconnects with human life again in a countryside village, he finds that he found human food tasteless. And in an incident that happens later on, he thought of the monster flesh he once ate as a spider monster. Along with some graphic descriptions of monster flesh and meat, the MC, in the future, finds monster meat to be the only food that is suitable for his taste buds. Hence the title, Dungeon Gourmet. For a living, he will go into dungeons and work as a mercenary, whilst also eating the meat of his monster kills and funnily enough, bring his own cooking equipment into dungeons for his meals.

If you are interested in a uniquely-set and graphically described novel, then you must give this one a try.
