Thus by comparison the MC and relationships with the few nice people become cute to read about

Giving it a 3 because it focuses too much on romance drama (not that there is a lot of that yet, but it seems very predictable and I won't read more to find out) and vengeance/face slapping

Wanted an actual magic focused cultivator, but...

This novel can easily be replaced by a lot of other novels in the OP female MC Xianxia/Xuanhuan genre, the magic makes it stand out, but... well... the magic that initially drew my eyes is mostly glossed over and not at all important, replace it with any other cheat item or special skills + plot armor as always and there will be no difference, and the rest of the plot is just not exciting enough due to the cliches and (mentally) weak villains
