Best ML character development!Having seen all those stories with arrogant powerful and invincible ML's that only are vulnerable when it comes to the MC, I feel this is way better in comparison. Well our prince An, does have some of those characteristics too, but in view of the whole picture, you can see a man struggling with himself, depressed when sick, and hopeless about the future, turn into someone with hope, ambition and love. I have had experiences with people who are very sick, or have been bad injured, and go through a tough time with their feelings and emotions while they are sick. It doesn't matter what kind of people they were before, sometimes illness changes them so unrecognisably. They become vulnerable, self-deprecative and all sorts of things they were not before. And the journey of recovery and healing is just so much more than about physical health, it requires new found confidence and courage. This story just did so much justice to the portrayal of sick people in stories. Our great god Qiyang is extremely strong and scary, but even he is not invincible with illness. This is worth reading for this point alone.Not the best writing ever, but it has its strong points, and I love it for that.
