The synopsis doesn't tell you much about the story so I figured I'd do a review to clear things up.

It's a contemporary fantasy exorcism story. It takes place in the "New Genesis World" and the currency is "New Genesis Coins" (they appear to be using paper currency though?) But it's culturally pretty much just China and despite the name most people live normal secular lives not affected by fantasy elements. However there is a somewhat unique aspect of the setting; there hasn't been much reference to usual Chinese Taoist/Buddhist deities. There is a benevolent oddly formed "Death God" in the setting that is worshipped by the some of the general public that the protagonist becomes increasingly involved with.

The protagonist is a somewhat aimlessly living 30 year old guy who has picked up bits and pieces of secular knowledge about spirits and deities but is essentially a non malicious charlatan who puts people with problems in that realm at ease and avoids serious issues. He does have what he perceives as a decent "Yin Sense" which is feeling coldness in unclean/spiritually active areas that helps him navigate his work. The story starts introducing you the the protagonist, his world and place in it but soon enough he gets wrapped up in an actual supernatural incident that leads into him getting exposed to the hidden supernatural world, gaining minor magical abilities and becoming a part of an organization.

Translation by Slaysaga is a little odd at first but evens out quickly to becoming solid. Interested to see how the novel develops.
