One of my favorite GS novels. The MC character is probably the most interesting character that I've read. Whether you like that character or not (or find them interesting) will be up to personal taste, but she sure isn't simple. (Though it takes a while for that to become apparent -- she's easy to underestimate early on.) Best analogy that I can give is having a few drinks with someone seemingly pretty normal, and as they start telling you stories from their life, you gradually realize how freaking complicated their life is.This is a slice of life, set in modern Japan. The MC, three years after his death, wakes to find himself in the body of a high school girl, wealthy but with a shitty reputation due to her PITA behavior (hence "villainess"). She first needs to navigate her situation and repair her ruined reputation. This leads to her being well behaved for the beginning part of the story. However, after her reputation recovers somewhat, we see more of her complicated personality come out, see more of her family and friends, who are... also a complicated bunch of people.Basically: SoL with plenty of interesting characters, some drama, some high school girling, with a GS hook.
