I decided to try reading this novel because the summary is very interesting. However, my experience with the initial chapters led me to stop reading after chapter 6.

The primary reason for discontinuing the novel was the translation quality. The translation is confusing, with frequent switches in names and titles (e.g. FL's stepmother is marchioness but changed to baroness, Fernan's name changed to Fernando, marquess was called the steward), making it hard to follow who is being referred to.

From what I read, the characters seemed a bit superficial. This might be due to the translation, which could have affected the depth and nuance of the character portrayals.

I can't provide much insight into the main lead's perspective, as I didn't reach the parts where his point of view is explored. However, his current dislike towards the female lead is understandable. He barely knows her but feels pressured to marry her, which justifies his behavior to an extent.

The novel might appeal to readers who aren't overly sensitive to translation mistakes. If you can overlook some confusion and superficial character portrayals, it might still be worth a try. However, my experience was hindered by the translation issues, leading me to drop it early on.
