Pherenike Chapter 90 Discussion

  • #1
Frankly stating, I have been avoiding reading this novel for a good amount of months. I knew this was going to be hard read because of the Greek mythology & keywords. But, I started this at my own risk. I am clearly stating this, that this review comes from someone who has little to no knowledge about Greek mythology, a novice. All I know is from social media, so I may not be the best judge of this novel. Honestly, I had to shut off my mind to continue to read this story. For the past few months I have come across many novels that felt different & unique. But, this is a whole new level of unique which even makes you a little bit uncomfortable.

I don't like it but also don't hate it, because I don't know enough about mythology to criticize or debate it. I guess this feels like a guilty pleasure. I don't know what I am even trying to say. Like, even though I am reading this novel, I don't know what I am reading but I still want to read it to know how this ends. The same sentiment stands true for the 3 main characters. They are all so grey just like the story.

👇 A little sneak peek into the story for your caution.. You can ignore if you want as this is a spoiler.

Spoiler

1. FL has relationship with both the men who are btw half brothers. Even after marriage. Even after having a child.

2. None of the ML's are hateful but they are no saints whatsoever. It's FL's selfish actions that get on my nerves. But considering the story it is to be expected.

3. So much has happened in the 90 chapters that I am scared but also curious about what more the novel entails as it progresses, considering it's still on-going.

4. It's a hard read & requires a lot of patience. The translators have done a commendable job.

5. The plot & the story don't make sense. It's mostly the FL getting tossed between the two guys.

The translations are dropped but I sincerely hope this gets picked up again so that I get to know how this ends. Thank you for the translations.
