Ok, so it's novels like this that make me really hesitant to judge a book by it's title. Actually, it's probably one of the biggest reasons I enjoy danmei so much. You just never know what you're getting into.This novel is not plot heavy. I had actually considered dropping it because I didn't really connect with the ML (Gu Jiqing), who is very polite, but extremely unbothered. [*Note: I can never tell who the MC is and who the ML is, so I'll just use their names*] However, it's due to this character that I continued reading. I wanted to see if he would change, and how he would change. The MC (Zhou Cibai), is a very awkward character, but quite adorable in his own way. He's a very potent male, full of vitality, but so very insecure before his lover. Very cute.This story features a very lazy and pampered ML, but this is also used a tool to move the story forward. Well done.Of course, no story is truly perfect, but I enjoyed this novel enough to give it 4.5 stars. It's somewhat of a wife-chasing type of novel without the drama. A lot of the things the MC says to ML just touched me. I can't really say when I read the words, "I missed you, " and truly felt the sincerity as a reader. Yeah, so I liked this one.
