an MC that is indecisive, constantly moaning about his past success. In less than a chapter, he's made out to be someone who's too afraid to even hear about his past accomplishments and is too weak-willed to separate his connection with his past editor despite deciding to stop writing. He's just such a pathetic character on first impression that it makes me not want to continue.If that wasn't bad enough we have a manipulative, teasing, stubborn female lead that's just so cliche and annoying at this point. Every time she is in the scene, there is some kind of misdirection, manipulation, etc. Going on to "shock" or "surprise" the reader or keep them guessing, which is such a f*cking tiring character troupe tbh.In such a short amount of time, we're misdirected into thinking that she figured out MC's identity turns out she just read his schoolwork and sought him out because of that, and then she strong-armed MC into following her and hearing her out. Spent an entire chapter talking about some dogsh*t club that's not actually a club because it has no members, oh it's actually is a club because they're allowed to have no members for 1st year (this is literally how the conversation went between the two). It's so autistic how drawn out and boring it all is, and as if that's not enough when he has the slightest conviction to walk away from the bullsh*t she pretends to fall over (or did she) into the rice field, which is the author's attempt to open up the possibility of her having a terminal disease or some bullshit, it's so tiring reading this novel tbh.Overall, the concept is interesting but the execution is disgustingly boring, the writing style is basic, the cliches and troupes are tired, the characters are predictable and unexceptional. 1/5
