Unfortunately, this story shares a lot of issues with "The Spiritual Plant Master Transmigration".First, characterisation. The MCs character is pretty consistent and I think it is strong enough to carry the story. However, the ML's character is too weak and there is no growth. At first, it was acceptable for him to follow the MC since the MC was more familiar with cultivation. However, after hundreds of years, his character is the same. He has no thoughts of self-improvement and follows along aimlessly.Compared to Xu Muan in "The Spiritual Plant Master Transmigration", Bai Yunxi got a better deal. However, it is unfortunate that the author always made sure to develop him just enough to fall short of the MC. The only advantage he had over the MC was his spirit root, but even that was about to be eliminated as of 453.I like an OP MC but this is also a romance novel. Although Bai Yunxi didn't seem to mind that he is eternally inferior to his partner, I don't like it. There is nothing that the ML can do better than the MC which is hard to accept.The whole story is centred around showing the MC's awesomeness. There is no actual plot.
