Note: The following review is not complete and could have some mistakes since English is not my first language. I will come back and complete it hahaha.

Review:

This novel... Is not for everyone.

Spoiler

If you like the harem route, then go ahead.

[collapse]

The story is about Choi Yehyun (or Yehyeon, I don't know since I just MTL'd all the chapters I have read), the MC. He was originally a doorman, the lowest of hunters, but he gets back to the past (3 years) when he dies in the Super Gate, the largest portal that has ever existed.

After he regress, he unlocks his true job as a "player", with a Legendary (L) classification. His job comes with a system that pushes him to do certain things, such as collecting strong men (specifically 4 targets, AKA the love interests). He then starts a party with them, but he didn't expect them to not get along, so he has to be a mediator most of the time.

Choi Yehyun's Skills

Spoiler

The system gives him a skill called "Healing Light", that allows him to restore injuries to their original state, and that's his main skill. He didn't awake as a "healer", because his job is a "player", but he "pretends" to be a healer, since they are treated as royalty for their "valuable" abilities.

He also has other skills (he unlocks/gains them when he accomplishes some things). The most important are the following:

    • Inventory (he can put almost whatever he wants in this space, but he keeps it as a secret most of the time).
    • Gathering (it helps him to collect ingredients for potions that he sells or donate to an alchemist named Yuria).
    • Kiss of Blessing (with a kiss, he can grant a blessing/buff to their targets. The effectiveness depends on the kissing area. For example, the lips give a stronger effect than the cheeks).
    • Ok, I don't remember the name of this one (it is a skill to heal over a wide area. It is extremely powerful, but when he uses it, he usually passes out and it has a 30-day cooldown).
    • Mental Barrier (it allows him to resist skills that mess with the mind).
    • Mind reading (he can read the target's thoughts, but just a few words only. So, sometimes is hard to decipher what are they thinking exactly).
    • Pretending to be dead -or something like that- (ok, you can guess about this one. And yes, I think it was created for the drama. It puts him in a dead-like state. His body becomes rigid, his body temperature drops, he doesn't breath and his heartbeat becomes non-existent. It only last a few hours though).

ML's

Spoiler

All of them are S class, but Haewon achieved it first, then Juhoo and Seungjae, and Dokyeom at the end.

[collapse]

Baek Haewon

Spoiler

He's a fire mage. He is the one that takes longer to care about Yehyun. His cousin is the South Korea's National Hero (forgive me, I forgot his name). His cousin was in the same group/team as Shin Dokyeom's brother.

He is part of the Hunter Association and keeps a perfect image because he wants to follow his cousin' steps (he feel like he's in debt with him because he burnt him when he hasn't control over his flames).

Yehyun made him realize he doesn't like to pretend to be always perfect, so he starts to curse in public and dyes his hair red (my boy started his rebel phase hahaha). He's extremely powerful and besides Yehyun, he's the next mediator in a jelly-jelly team.

[collapse]

Yoo Juhoo

Spoiler

He loves Yehyun the most even before his regression. He fell in love after seeing the way Yehyun expressed his pain when he lost her parents. Yehyun was crying, holding onto her sister and he saw that scene. Juhoo thought that it was beautiful (Ik, it's a little bit weird, but ok I guess?)

He doesn't want any other person to see Yehyun in a vulnerable state. One of the main thoughts of him is "I love you" when he sees Yehyun. He's a swordman.

[collapse]

Shin Dokyeom

Spoiler

He's like Katy Perry's song: "Hot N' Cold". He used to think very negatively of Yehyun, but starts to "soften up" later in the story. He's the same age as Yehyun, so he speaks very informally with him. He likes Yehyun's face very much. It is exactly his type. But he doesn't treat him well at first because he hates healers the most (since one healer refused to help his brother when he was injured, and because of that his brother died).

He suffers from many prejudices. People underestimate him because he's an archer. And archers are seen as the weakest type of hunter.

He fights a lot with Seungjae. He is bad at feelings.

[collapse]

Yoon Seungjae

Spoiler

He's the youngest in the group. He is a tank, and a very strong one. He's the most "normal" one out of the ML's. He loves and cares about Yehyun very much and acts like a big puppy (since he's tall).

I really wanted this boy to be the final ML, but this is reverse harem.

[collapse]

Choi Yehyun' Sister

Spoiler

She has an illnesses called "Mana Rejection".

It is not said directly, but it is implied that it is a "state anomaly", but Yehyun can't confirm it since normal people (as his sister) don't have a "status window".

[collapse]

Healer' Union

Spoiler

The main villain created this union because they want the end of the world (since their host was rejected by the world and pushed to the limit. After their took her own life, this second personality became the main one). They are overpowered, of course.

They found a guy that can brainwash almost everyone, so they brainwashed him with physical torture and then brainwashed the healers. Because of that, the healers refuse to treat almost everyone, since treating hunters contribute to the humanity supervivence.
