Actually, there's nothing special about MC in this story. I've read many novels with apathetic MC before but idk, I still find MC in this story was quite endearing. Perhaps, it had to do with her past which seemed glorious but actually full of loneliness.In the past, she was at the pinnacle of her life, being an emperor and the reputation of being a hero but she was alone with her only friend maintained a respectful distance from her. She's actually quite relieved when she died because she's finally free from exhausting and uninteresting life. Then, she was reborn 500 years later.But her life after reborn was different from her past life. She now had a loving family, a devoted lover, and many friends. However, it still took her a long time to be able to completely embrace those affections since it's something foreign for her. Those people around her became her motivation to live and she also learnt to be happy.I feel a bit complicated about her feeling towards ML though.Spoiler
Sometimes, I feel that she saw Eroz through ML. MC also wasn't quite sure whether ML was the reincarnation of Eroz or not but she also knew that they're different.
While Eroz was afraid of exposing his feeling to MC, Caesar bravely admitted his feeling and actively showed his affection to MC. But I still find Eroz was quite pitiful too so I don't know whether I want ML to be Eroz or not.
