So good that I went into a frenzy trying to find something similar to this and ended up just being sad and treasuring this more because there's nothing else as good as this. It's close to 5 stars for a reason.Tbh I originally went into this wondering: how does omegaverse, transmigration and esports even mix?? And I was given a great surprise. The world building is just right, characterization is top notch, the games is actually fun and the faceslapping? It felt like I let out a really good sneeze I don't know how else to describe it. You actually fall for the teams and characters, its the beauty of (well written) sports novels. Our mc/shou isn't submissive or weak but they're both powerful and stand in equal standing with ML which I really enjoyed. You barely see it around in this genre. It's also rare to find a bl that has slower romance cause it focuses on another plot point (with this being esports) that perfectly balances it both, yet here we are with ALM doing it effortlessly. May I add that it's extremely refreshing to see how our ml/gong actually processes his thoughts and how he sees/falls in love with mc?Spoiler
I liked how Chi Shuo originally thought of Ye Shaoyang as another teammate, he wasn't so fast to be head over heels in marking him. But then we see how he starts to be attracted to him and how he blames it on the marking. To him having the epiphany that he wouldn't do what he and Ye Shaoyang with anyone else and actually envisioning a future with him by taking responsibility for the mark. To him finally realizing that he actually fell in love with him, the marking didn't make him do it.
[collapse]I also found it funny when I would think of just this esports obsessed guy with the only thing in mind being championship waking up in another world abt abo– ofc that guy will not know anything about it haha. I wouldve wriyten a more cohesive and coherent review but this novel has me too excited. Just read it!
