Breakthrough with the Forbidden Master Chapter 371 Discussion

This is my first review. I am a long time reader and am usually lazy to write a review. However, I would like to express my thoughts on this great masterpiece. I've been reading novels since 2013, started from SAO, and ventured from jp to cn and kr novel. As someone who expanded the horizon reading through tons of cliche, no doubt this is quite a typical shonen novel. I've seen people flaming about how it's just training and fighting stronger opponents, rinse and repeat, just like your typical Chinese MC (lol).

However, all the fight scene and training are the key process to building the MC to what he is at the latest chapter. None of these "old" fight scenes and characters are forgotten and are forged into an experience for the MC. He's depicted as a spoilt brat at the very start despite not having his effort recognized. As the story progresses, we can see how he changed as a person, how he handle his "love" relationship and dote on his younger "sibling".

At one point, it can also be seen from how he handled and faced his family and friends when they met again after he left home. Yes, he is dense at times and you may think he is just being a wuss. He is just 15yo and has his own conflict/ thought process. The realism instilled by the author can be felt tremendously, such as the awkwardness and internal struggle.

TLDR: This is not a typical series where the MC just fight and grow to fight stronger opponents. The main joy for me is the interaction, and how the MC grow to become less of a brat: from how he left home, found a friend who then left him for his own sake, expanded his horizon by mixing around with people from a "commoner perspective" and "underground operation", to him finding a new "home" where he is welcomed and appreciated for who he is, while also facing new challenges only to solve them and gaining new allies/ friends in the process. If you are at c100+ of this novel, the best has yet to come (not gonna touch on this, huge spoiler). This novel is about world-building, character growth, to the point of how the world is at its current position (demon vs human war). Everything is well explained.
