The story is great, it's really a breath of fresh air compared to similar novels. It takes roads other novels wouldn't.Almost everything that happens in this book happens for a good, justified reason. The author likes to foreshadow things, and every chapter has a reference or two: Spoiler
the MC's last name is Lagann and his best technique so far is a magical drill. Also one of the ninja techniques is literally called "Uzumaki Naruto"
[collapse]Rather than being able to see what will happen in this book by using your experience of other books, you use your experience of real life. You can see that almost without thinking the MC will do something potentially life-changing in the future; then, when there are actual consequences, all you can say is "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!?"This book makes use of some tropes (not including reincarnation) simply as a way to help reader understanding rather than to make a cardboard cut-out story.
