Does every novel need to be original to be enjoyable to read? This novel is cliche, predictable, and has some dense MC moments, but I still enjoyed reading it.Even with the cliched setting, it is the characters that drives this story to be successful. The development of MC from a spoiled, naive, and h**ny teenager to learning about the world and having relationship with demons is great. We are able to relate to him as he wants to show the world who he is instead of being labeled as the 'son of the hero.' This novel really makes you feel for Earth AS WELL as the side characters. Side characters have their own passions and sometimes they make mistakes and foolish decisions, but hey, that's part of life. This novel doesn't create tropes and misunderstandings to push the plot forward, instead its constructs these tropes to make fun of them (aka names of the characters and certain interactions) and then lets the MC and characters push the plot forward.Hopefully it stays this way with MC and Demon King traveling the world and meeting interesting people/demons but I'm afraid that the female leads/possible harem is going to drag this novel down. There hasn't been much of that to this point, however, there are a few annoying female leads and it has been somewhat foreshadowed. This novel is mostly cliched so I'm expecting it go down that route, but I truly hope the author decides not to.EDIT (ch 110) : I'm kinda disappointed by the current arc as the author created a setting where MC and demon king would adventure off into the world and then what immediately happens afterward? He gets kidnapped and forced into joining a tournament. More annoying and obsessed girl characters keep popping up. I hope that the next arc picks up as this one has been horrible.
