Reborn: I Found The Wrong Brother Chapter -- Discussion

I got plot twisted so hard at the end oh my lord. I love the development throughout the story and even though Yansheng's compared to a cute lil bird gradually he takes on some aspects of ML's personality. He's a capable MC and I like how he developed over time because Yansheng looks obedient but he's genuinely so clever considering how he was raised at home until 18 and he has strong intuition. He actually catches people off guard with his questions.

I was not expecting certain things to happen at the end and the f*cking Emperor is the absolute Palpatine level of malice. I feel like a lot of other novels' old Emperor villains are developed to be easy gluttonous/obviously overconfident/narcissistic bastards, but this one's a literal definition of a cunning snake and even his weakness was concealed pretty well until the mid points.

Spoiler

Forcing his son/MC's father to sentence the people he cared about to death/get tortured painfully under the guise of upholding the law and taking a sadistic pleasure in watching his son get emotionally torn apart along with constantly monitoring him, killing his son's wife, implanting a Gu into the ML/MC so that if one of them dies, the other dies too and then has the audacity to lie to imply that one of them would have to die for it to be cured right on his death bed. He spared no change; was a constant looming threat and looked like a benign grandfather/father at first but I love how the author describes how he looks like a bad omen, or inhuman as he worsens in condition or gets aggravated.

[collapse]

Glad he's dead, f*ck him I hope the ML/MC get frisky on top of his narrow ass grave as penance.
