Some arcs are still okay, they're nothing exceptional but at least they're okay to pass time with. The others, I had to skip bc they were gonna give me a brain aneurysm. Like in arc 5/6, can't remember the arc exactly, but the premise basically goes that OG FL and ML were engaged since birth, got married, then divorced, except he's a complete piece of sh*t yet she still has zero self respect and loves this dung-on-the-bottom-of-a-shoe like a f*cking dog, her heart beating when she sees him and trampling on her own dignity bc she has zero self control whatsoever. God, that dude even insulted her parents bc of her behaviour over him, and she gave him the satisfaction of being right! Atp I was so disgusted I had to skip the arc bc the only solution I could be satisfied with is OG FL offing herself in penance to her ancestors for being born such a grade A loser.Another arc I couldn't stand was the stepmother's son arc, where she was supposedly negotiating with the broke ass ML to invest in his broke ass company. How come she had to come from such a humble angle, and it almost seemed like she had to beg to invest when his company can't even survive without this luck of meeting her? The meeting started with him immediately threatening to call security on her, while she grabbed his hand and was all 'oh naurr don't chase me out, give me 30mins to convince you!' which then turned to 'oh it's my money don't worry, my daddy lets me spend it the way I want, I swear! Even if I let him know he'll agree!' Hello???? This is not how investors are treated in any situation, sorry, and why did you bring up your dad for no reason??? This was MC speaking too so I was baffled at her acting like a bimbotic idiot while ML is also a complete fool who threatens security on a client brought in by his own receptionist. I'm sick of this novel at this point, the smut is honestly quite mediocre and I skip it whenever it comes up bc it's just unnecessarily long. Done reading this.
