Naturally, Shen Ning wouldn't have that. She's a woman who is physically strong, endured torture and is simply fed up with all that nonsense. Surprisingly on the second day, the emperor decreed marriage between her and his uncle, the regent (Ji Yucang).

I'm currently only on Ch. 90 and already revealed some spoilers, but I have to mention some more.

ML knows that FL has been reborn and was the war goddess. And I have the serious suspicion that he was a very close person to her, meaning he should also be reborn, but until here it hasn't been mentioned clearly, only being hinted at.

Regarding the matter of Shen Ning being defiled by robbers, this was done by her very fiance. Because he truly loved her to the point of insanity and wanted to keep her by his side. The child-emperor and Empress Dowager wanted for him to marry the Grand Princess, the sister of the child-emperor and most beloved daughter of the previous emperor who had command over special soldiers. So since he would need to marry the princess as his main wife, he decided to tarnish FL's reputation to force her to become his concubine instead.

I do have to give a warning though, if you are not comfortable with the ancient chinese view of women having to be chaste and being shunned and scolded for loosing their innocence (even if nothing happened and she's still a virg*n), then you shouldn't read it, because for a large part at the beginning (several 10s of chapters), everyone is mocking and scolding her for it, despite her being the Regent Consort at that point already.

I just don't understand the last part of the summary where it's stated "love for the country and family". Unless this is meant in a sarcastic way. Because neither FL nor ML love their country, much less their families.

Honestly, aside from FL and ML and their close confidants, everyone else in this novel seems to be overly brainless. The empress dowager is a moron, her two daughters are idiots, the fiance and his entire Qin family are s*upid beyond belief and the Shen family......... ah don't get me started xD

FL is rational, cold, ruthless. She does remind me a bit of the FL's from "Empress of military lineage" and "The rebirth of an ill fated consort", but I like her more. She's just cool!
