It definitely has pacing issues right from the start.Sometimes nothing really happens for several chapters, then suddenly so much is happening in the span of a few days that none of it is sufficiently described, the story gets put on 4x speed and we are confronted with the results. On the other hand, the passage of time isn't mentioned nearly enough, so you have to guess how long what took and if the changes are believable or if you need another dose of suspension of disbelieve. The setting is slightly mismatched, there are many different points taken from various tropes and genres sloppily mixed together, it seems the writer just took her favourite ones and tried to make it work.Does it work? Not really, world building is confusing, details are completely missing, it's so bare-boned that you'll likely have more questions than answers, which (so far) have all been either glossed over or simply ignored."It is how it is", that's the writer's motto.Characterisation isn't anything worth mentioning, the story is heavily focused on OP-MC, even the ML gets very little attention, he even seems to vanish sometimes and gets mentioned only in passing. He's basically a background character, like everyone else except for the MC, who isn't really the most likeable person around... I would have loved for the focus to be much less on him alone.Of course, there's no end to the face-slapping, only people MC personally acknowledges as characters aren't downright scum, that leaves a handful of poorly flashed out background actors with little personality who's sole job it is to support MC's every whim. The story isn't extremely bad or anything, mediocre with some glaring problems, but certainly worth a shot for those who are into OPness + base-building + fantasy and aren't too bothered by any of the cons.
