Love Letter From The Future Chapter 15 Discussion

I agree with the other low star reviews. I think it'll probably come down to preferences over how you prefer your MC's character to be written. I can take a 'dumb' MC if it's comedic, or if he lived isolated all his life and is learning to interact for the first time (I like those).

However this MC, who has a normal (even privileged) upbringing, is dumb as a brick, in regards to IQ & EQ. And like someone else said, it has a serious tone, not comedic. So it's quite grating and angsty to read... every single move he makes in the first 15 chapters, and everything that comes out of his mouth has me scratching my head... Granted, I've only read 15 chapters, but I don't wanna dedicate to read 50-100 more chapters to see if he develops common sense. He also does feel bland af, maybe a personality comes out later.

The biggest thing for me is the letter from the future. I get it, if you got a letter from the future, you wouldn't believe it either, you'd think someone snuck it into your room as a prank. But to have all those 'spectacular' events at the same time... you would probably test out the part about your best friend dying in a few days right?

He can't remember the last week of school, where apparently from other's descriptions, he is convinced someone else had control over his body. Someone who seemed comfortable in his body/knew people, and had much more fighting experience. At same time, he was also having an apocalyptic like dream about the future. His strength and mana are considerably improved, and when he woke up, he found a weird letter from a future lover. In that letter, talks about how one of his best friends is going to be attacked by a beast on a specific day. He goes to the girl on the day she's going to be attacked, thinks about telling her about it, says nah, 'have a good day!' instead, and she dies... This part already has you pretty angsty, then the next chapter....

He still think's 'maybe this letter is some prank', the next day, but decides that he's going to trust it regardless... ok? and so what is he gonna do to prevent the apocalypse? Is he gonna start training, getting stronger and informing people, building up his 'team'? Start researching this mentioned 'traitor god' that has something to do with the end? Nope, he's gonna start trying to seduce the women around him because one of them must be his lover from the future... and he should find her because.... they should reconnect.. why? I don't even know.... I DON"T EVEN KNOW!!!!

And other small stuff that grates me like MC will speak rudely to someone who's not being rude to him, and when people point it out he goes 'oh well I already said the rude thing, so what's left to think about?'... Like idk maybe change that shitty personality so it doesn't happen next time? They're not asking you to go back in time dips***....

At that point I was like 'oh so maybe this is a comedy, that I just don't find funny'. But then I went to this page, and saw there's no comedy tag. So I don't think they were aiming for comedy...
