I Became the Academy’s Disabled Student Chapter 101 Discussion

This kind of sh*t is my fetish, but the issue this novel runs into is it feels empty. He's in supposedly a massive academy, with hundreds if not thousands of students. So it stands to reason there must be a lot of staff right? This many students surely require a lot of administration and staff for numerous tasks? Or perhaps medical staff to attend to or take care of students in the infirmary? No, there's only teachers and seemingly no one else. This world feels empty because there's no one else at the academy except a few named teachers, a few names students and no one else. There's no background characters at any of the facilities, or in any of the activity halls or on the campus at all. It's only at the gate in the first chapter that there's staff handling registration. The world is empty and it feels like no one except the core cast exists.

Another issue is one I've learned to ignore after I've seen it countless times, and that's the maturity of a grown character transforming into a child yet lacking any of their adult skills. Supposedly the MC was an introvert extremely ab*sed and malnourished kid, who had hardships and misfortune galore. His social skills were non-existent and his development is stunted. Yet he supposedly became a functional adult in his life, and it all kind of reverts when he enters the game world.

Finally I'd nitpick one small part of the story, it references his other runs in the game, but for some reason it references his 1st, 2nd, 8th, and last runs and none of the others. It references these runs all the time over and over with little explanation of any others. These were his most special runs but honestly I'd prefer that his other runs got focus since the world building in this would be more interesting.

Why didn't I mention the good parts? The only good parts are if you're into smaller male/stronger female romance. If you like that kind of content, and you know who you are, this has that, but it's not without issues. There's no other positive I'd recommend to anyone else. The written works with this kink are few, so I understand fellow enjoyers probably read what they can, but I'd let you know it's kind of a shallow work.
